Economics CAIE IGCSE Revision Cards: 5&6
These cards have been put together to help support learning for the CAIE IGCSE economics exam, but economics being what it is, they will also support all other IGCSE and GCSE economics syllabuses.
These cards are for Section 5 and 6 of the CAIE economics syllabus: Economic Development, and International Trade and Globalisation.
This section of the CAIE IGCSE economics syllabus has a lot of cross over with other subjects including: geography, development studies, business studies, and sociology. Although these cards are economics revision cards, they may be handy for those who are reading around the topics of economic development and international trade, and are looking to see their chosen subject as part of a bigger picture and from a different perspective.
Section 1 & 2 can be found here and sections 3 & 4 can be found here.
These cards cover: standards of living; populations; poverty; factors affecting economic development; specialisation; globalisation; multinational corporations; free trade; exchange rates; and the balance of payments.
If you can, print the sections on different coloured paper. Failing that, attaching some kind of tag or sticker to the edge of the first card of each section, once they are laminated. This will help you find your way through the cards more quickly once they are all on a key ring.
To make:
- Print.
- Cut along the horizontal line.
- Fold in half, with writing on the outside.
- Either stick two sides together or laminate (I had to trim mine a smidgen to fit four cards into one A4 laminating sheet).
- Punch single hole in top left hand corner of each card.
- Put cards on keyring, split pin, or something similar.
